What does it cost to have you come out?
It costs nothing to get us out to your door (excluding after-hours). Once we are on site we inspect the fault and name the figure before the tools come out, so you can decide with the whole picture in front of you rather than a guess.
Can you clear a blocked drain before you leave?
Usually, yes. The van carries the jetter, the electric eel and the drain camera, so a blockage on a clay line off Harrison Street or Munibung Road is generally cleared and camera-checked the same visit. If the pipe itself is cracked, you watch the camera pictures with us and get a quote for the proper fix.
What happens if my hot water unit dies at night?
Ring the number and a plumber picks up, day or night. Ageing units in the post-war streets give no warning, and a cold shower at 11pm is a genuine emergency. We can also set up a temporary hot water tank so the showers keep working until the replacement is connected.
Do you do gas work as well as plumbing?
Yes, we are licensed plumbers and gas fitters. On the gas side that means new cooktops and ovens, BBQ points, leak tracing and repairs, and replacing tired gas piping when a kitchen gets renovated, all priced the same fixed way as our plumbing.
Who fixes a sewer blockage, me or the council?
Anything on your side of the boundary is yours to fix, while a blockage in the street main is for the water authority to clear. We run the camera down the line first so you can see which side of the boundary the problem sits on before anyone digs up a garden.
